Scandic Laholmen Hotel Stromstad, Stromstad

I had a great stay at this hotel! It’s located in a fantastic spot, making it easy to explore the surrounding area of Strømstad. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. However, I did notice a bit of a delay with the room being ready upon our arrival. Overall, it was a lovely experience and I’m definitely looking forward to coming back.

During my stay, I found the hotel to be quite charming with a location that's its best asset, being very walkable to local restaurants. The service from the staff truly stood out, as they were incredibly friendly and attentive. However, the rooms left something to be desired, as they were a bit on the smaller side and not as clean as I would have hoped. While the dining offerings were decent, they didn't quite meet the standards I expected from a Scandinavian hotel. Overall, it’s a nice place to stay if you prioritize location and service over room quality.

The hotel offers stunning views from the upper floor rooms and is ideally located near the harbor. The staff is incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make my wife, dog, and I feel welcome. However, some minor plumbing noise detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, while we enjoyed the breakfast with plenty of fresh options, there’s always room for improvement in variety.

I stayed at a hotel that had some good points, mainly its location in the heart of town, which made it super convenient to explore the area. The staff were really friendly and helpful throughout my three-day stay. However, I found the room quite small and facing the parking lot, which was not ideal, especially considering the price.
